What is going on?! HHC Crystallizing over 90% 9R

He was a damn wizard that’s forsure. Too many greats died last year.

Are you so sure of the CBD purity ? :face_with_monocle:

Is this precipitate insoluble in ethanol or methanol, or even hydrocarbons ?

It looks like waxes. A few % can make a solution cloudy.
It would not show up in the analysis, but the cannabinoids mixed up with it would.

Is there a way to not be sure? I made the isolate. Extracted the hemp. Mixed with 3:1 etoh, froze at negative 30 for 24 hours and filtered 10 micron. Back in freezer. 5 micron. Back in freezer 2.5 micron. Nothing in filter 3. Rotovap. Distill. Crash in reactor in pentane. Collect, wash dry isolate. COA. 99.3% Place in BF with TIBA convert filter wash distill. Back into BF. Hydrogenate. Distill. Now place in jar. Cool location, crystallize. Fats? Absolutely no way. It’s like 75% yield weight of the jars oil. You are telling me in a 1 liter jar there could be 750g of fats and lipids? That sounds impossible.

Throw it back in ethanol if it doesn’t dissolve in ethanol its fats and waxes, thats why you were able to seperate out with ethanol.

Also the reason why you can’t shoot on your column is because it is fats and waxes.

Curious as to how it looked when diluted in methanol for hplc? Did anything look milky or cloudy when in preparation?

I disolved in ethanol. Using ethanol and water as a mobile phase. Not that I immediately was aware of but I am double checking based on what you guys have told me.

What was the results here? Wht ended up being the issue
