What else can our equipment be utilized for

Hi Fam.

Hope you are all well!

This is kind of a random thought I was having today, well…

As you know most of our lives are consumed by the cannabis industry…id kind of like a “break” but still be able to use my equipment

I was wondering lately what else I can use my distillation equipment to produce…

I have big centrifuges and distillation systems…

Vitamin E? Oil refinement?

Im kind of lost and it would be nice to do some side hobby that I could profit from…

Any ideas?

Throw some herbs/fruits in that fuge with alcohol then recovery the solvent and maybe distill off terps? I would imagine if you just started buying up a buncha aromatics and trying things you could make some nice oils and stuff :person_shrugging:

Botanical terps, Teas, Herbs and other commonly extracted plants.

Shoot you and me both my friend. I’ve mimicked the recipe but I’m sure it was nowhere as good as his.

Do it! The biggest things are using the white corn meal and malt. It’s a good recipe, I feel like the corn meal is only for flavoring cause I don’t see him converting any starches to sugar in his recipe. It’s the malt and sugar providing the food for the y(east) as they call it in Appalachian .

Spruce syrup is something that I’ve come across also! Pretty good, lighter than Maple, but not quite as sweet.
Do natural botanical extractions for essential oils from lavender, and the like. Lavender is a good crop to grow for essential oils. They have to be at least 2-3 years old before the flowers will carry enough oil to even try extracting. Heard of people extracting rose petals, for the oil. Even heard of people making egg oil with various tools.

How the hell does one make egg oil?

A little Ethanol goes a long way, if you’re doing right. The process I’m familiar with involves using the Source Turbo, for recapture of ethanol. I guess if you’re motivated enough, you can make anything!
I want to say there’s an SOP on this site: Extraction by IchiBanCrafter – Ethanol/Alcohol Extraction. Crafting Concentrates For Medicine, Smoking and Edibles. (extractcrafter.com)
