500 plant pheno hunt……

How many lights you using for that?
Sounds like an expensive mistake when you start culling problem children

Its a PCR thing sir…

You’re also making a giant assumption on the breeding being done. They could be f1’s they could also be a lot more then that. Unless you know specifics, let’s try not to generalize

I meant 500dollars per plant sry… Pheno hunt decrubed above

That’s cool for finding out which cannabinoids you’re gonna have but a “biased nose” is what builds a brand

What about strains that aren’t bread anymore and only exist in clone form, on purpose. You can find some breeder who skeeted it with some male they’ve got and perhaps you’ll get one that leans the direction you want. Or some “breeder” S1’s it and it is a genetic that doesn’t take well to being reversed. And now you have a bunch of Ru Paul’s and Dennis Rodmans in your grow room. Or, you pay a few bucks and get that cut because it’s not in seed form anymore.

I totally agree with you. But there is also times when it serves its purpose.

As an example. For a grower that doesn’t have the time to sort through 100s of beans. Hypothetically speaking if I had two, two light rooms. I probably won’t be pheno hunting very often. But, I’d take advantage of picking up a strain/cut to throw into rotation that’s already been sorted through.

I also completely agree with you. Best way to have strong clean genetics is to pop the beans yourself and don’t let anyone else’s problems into your grow.

Are you saying you saw homozygous lines along the road somewhere?

Theres no real f1

Thats where the other spreadsheets come in…

Do you think minor cannabinoid prevalent strains would ve picked up by your(mine) fickles nose…

I trust my nose, it helps make financially sound decisions

And the yield played a part aswell… Dont gimme the its all in the terps…

If its that money it has to be 1000g/m2 of pure gooeygoodnes in 45 days…

No, but if it was worth a damn it would smell amazing.

I feel like picking up a $60 10 pack of beans from Humboldt Seed Co, and growing some SLIGHTLY unique flower, would outsell alot of “Payton” and other exotics right now… And it would take a whopping 120 days or less, to get your flavor, and some pheno run packs for quick loot.

Grower friend of mine has had a cut for 3 years from bag seed of a Forbidden Fruit pack. He’s been holding onto a mother since. A lot of people who know him sought after this clone/pheno as it’s very good and it’s grow cycle is perfect for outdoors and produces amazing flower, even when outdoor.

If he wanted he could make money off this cut/clone but he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t care about $$$ just about growing. He gives away clones of her to close friends and each person has not 1 negative thing on the cut.

If I remember, I don’t think he knows the exact genetics, but he does remember it coming from a Forbidden Fruit pack so no clue on exact. Whatever pheno it is, it is gold. One of, if not, my favorite phenos. Doesn’t mean it should be worth the price of a car. Should be free so people can grow their medicine, and he follows this.

Sad to see that good genetics are just used as a cash crop, at least it’s starting to.

Here’s a thought, ditch the flower time prerequisite and you will see some amazing stuff

I remember hearing most Asian packs are grown on 24/7 light cycles lol
