The idea that there is a hidden genetic that is impossible to find in a clones lineage is rediculous. Even if the clone is sterile.
At this point I’m just going to chalk this up to tower of babel and understanding the definition of agronomics, and that there is little justification to a 10k cut.
You’re not arguing one point. Okay I think you are right in suggesting that a clone would have siblings (especially if you do a thought experiment and say infinite siblings) that have analogously dank traits. That’s got To be true just like at the extreme scale of your parents having infinite kids; eventually your combination of genetics would pop out again.
Further I’d agree with you more that the set of unique genes that makes the elite cut don’t have to be that exact set to be as dank , so there are more than one set of dank genes amongst the siblings.
But that’s not the same argument as suggesting you can just pop seeds and get equal dank from ALL siblings. Unless I’m mistaken, you’re conflating those arguments.
Don’t get me wrong. I consistently find looser seeds. However I have no problem finding winners that tick all the same boxes as “elite cuts”. People can say standard difference this and that but I’m fucking old. I been around the block… Many times.
So many so, that I’ve met a new generation of growers litterally afraid to pop seeds. Thinking that clones and elites are the only way to build a beautifully dank garden. It’s bullshit. Finding your own unique exotic is not hard. Shrugs
No one said this but you.
For some a seed run is a waste of money when you get 5 different varieties in one pack. These guys need all the plants to have the same smell, bag appel, and growth rate.
And coa plz
Yea man, I meant in real life. Also in this thread multiple people have said they can’t get a win with seeds, or they popped 100’s with no wins. Which is what that implies to me.
40% is above the theoretical maximum of total THC production. Not claiming it’s impossible, but there are rate-limiting considerations - I’m not holding my breath.
MAYBE genetic engineering can accomplish that feat by removing other terpenoids from the equation and addressing rate-limiting biosynthesis issues…
Got to agree that 40% TAC is about unpossible. I mean pure trichome heads are like 50%, so you’d be looking at flower that is 80% trichomes… Not going to get that no matter what magic breeding program you have.
Secondary metabolism takes up alot of energy, depending on the complexity of the molecule being constructed.
Im just guessing terps take more than cbx, but in this case I couldn’t agree more that the engeneering or selection of a high cbx producer might yield an average terp producer…
Off to reagent hunting for the wierd glittering oddorless pheno :).
1200, take it or leave it. @Patsykilledtony it’s the best I’ve ever seen, so I will pay below average market value. Thank you for your business, and as always from brokers, gofugyoself.
