Waste from steam distilled terpenes

Has anyone done actual QC on the waste fraction from steam distilled terpenes obtained via subcritical CO2? Red colored fraction is the non polar layer of waste, clear is the refined terps separated from it.

They still smell quite fragrant. We have in-house QC but I doubt if we have standards for whatever might be in this so it would just be a bunch of mystery peaks. I hate throwing away good entourage.

I do terpene waste disposal. What you have there is obviously Trashā„¢ and should be disposed of in the proper method, straight into my ̶b̶a̶n̶k̶ ̶a̶c̶c̶o̶u̶n̶t̶ disposal facilities

Yes. The greatest variety of compounds I’ve ever had identified on a single sample was form ā€œwasteā€ terps. Smelled like pickles but there was upwards to 200 different terpenes/VOC’s so it was very interesting to see what was accumulating. Some things in it were not so good to be concentrated so additional refinement would be needed but I wouldn’t consider it waste, just possibly time consuming. As long as you’re keeping them in cold storage they probably are salvageable if you want them for in-house formulating.

I’ll message you later today. Might be able to point you in the right direction.
