Washes necessary for distillation?

When is it necessary to do brine washes between first and second pass? I was taught to always do it, but lately I am wondering. How much does it actually accomplish in terms of final product quality?

make a lab test for both ways you will see, washes might make you win a few % in purity and ameliorate color. after 1st pat preferable cause 2nd path only after 1st will not remove certain fats and lipids…

I’ve only been able to get bright gold 88+% thc first pass when I wash (without -40c extraction parameters)

I find a second distillation pass gets me to a similar result as a single pass with a washing procedure.
