we chill the tank because we only have 1 coil and we use it for recovery. we want to run cold solvent over frozen (dry cured) material (frozen in the column). i should probably get another coil on the way and use it between the tank and the material column instead of chilling the tANK.
If you have ts and some valves the same coil can be used.
But ya an injection coil will pay for itself in dry ice savings.
Someone here has mentioned using brewing coils. They are like $40
I think they are called wart coils or something. Get stainless
yeah i was thinking about that. i do have the ts and the coil is valved off. do i need another valve beween the pump and the coil to pull this off? i cant figure out how to accomplish this without putting air in system somewhere…
Wort chillers
So you would have 1 coil.
2 valves per side.
You would run 1 from your liquid port on your tank and 1 to your column.
And 1 from your recovery pump and 1 to your vapor port. When injection happens only open the liquid line valve and the valve going to the column.
When recovery happens. Close those 2 valves and open the valve leading to your pump and the valve leading to your vapor port
Thanks i knew i was close.
Make sure to get one with the right fittings if you go that route
Where are you located, maybe I can do a run for you.
