VAS quoted me over $38k for my double tier 6 row 48’ long racks. They look like anyone can make them if they just own a sheet metal brake. Has anyone tried? I have a shit load of Max Can 16” exhaust fans. I would rather buy a brake and do my own…

Have you drawn up some napkin sketches and found your local time lockers? If you haven’t run a brake press a bunch before, it’s one of the lower margin trades and you’re better off shopping it. $38k is fucking ridiculous but FWIW, 26ga galv sheet is still riding the material cost wave right now at like 3x what it was in January (at least around here)

Yeah, I worked a large one in a Stainless Plant. $38k is ridiculous. I’m always the one to save a thousand or two. But this, I can literally save maybe $10k at the least.
