I was looking to but a new vacuum pump, alot of people had some good suggestions most likely go with an Alcatel. I ran across a couple videos of people using one of these pumps anyone have experience?
That’s a great pump for rotovap or filtering use. Not so much for spd or vac oven use.

Theres a video of a guy using it for a second pass on some material, how is that possible. I thought it was a edwards pump till i looked closely and did some research. Scroll to 26:10
I was curious to see if i could find a pump that didnt need as much maintence and oil which could pull easily to double digit microns. These welches are a mother fucker I change my oil in it once every time I use it.
