Update (2) How does one achieve 3 lbs per plant? Indoor

I know a grower who sticks by the 30 plant limit rule in his county.
He has a 20 x 40 proper greenhouse and flowers 10 plants at a time. This technically isnt indoor but he light deps and has lights to grow year round.
Each plant vegges for about 6 months before he flowers them. They are in 60 gal geopots that are on rollers and have pvc structures attached for the canopy support. He yields 2-3lbs per plant every 4 months or so. Every plant was beautifully bonsaid/LST into the pvc canopy structure.
The county inspection has come in multiple times because they thought they would catch him over his limit, he happily gave a tour and everytime the county walked away empty handed.
So if ur restricted on plant count, dont let that deter you, max out those plants.

From my experience it’s safe to assume based on pot size that every gallon of potting mix should equate to roughly an ounce of flower.

Once you start looking at coco, rockwool or other more hydroponic mediums you can increase those numbers but usually your fertigation strategy then changes as well

like I said if I had LST’d my mini tree I grew, It would’ve been a qp.

imo, If you gotta go through doors and have an irrigation set up in the place you’re growing in… you’re growing indoors

8 weeks veg, proper up-potting timing, 3-a-light training. 2 defoliations in veg, 3 in flower. Make sure your plants are trained uniformly and flat on a trellis. Make sure your nutrient lineup is dialed in. Tissue sampling will help achieve that. Use CO2, VPD and DLI. I have used up to 6 layers of trellis as they flowered and the tops still collapsed.

I forgot I had this - this is a few years old but if I were going to try to try for 3lb+ plants indoors and I had the ceiling space this is exactly how I would set it up. I think this is only 3 or 4 plants in a row.

I remember that picture. I would worry about air flow on the lowers unless they were stripped bare, but I am sure that yielded awesome.

Oh yeah they were trimmed down super suuuuuper short in the beginning but as things went on we just sort of let it grow since we were getting a lot of hot day and wanted a little bit of a fallback just in case we weren’t super fast on the draw watering those

And if I check on my old phones somewhere there’s a picture of me laying on the ground posing all sexy-like in front of a 3 and 1/2 ft tall pile of nug from that

Yo dawg, check out my new 3-a-light strain. I call it “Brown Frown”.

I believe street historian, Young Jeezy said it best.

“We weren’t smokin` purple then…it was more like Bobby Brown!”

It sounds a bit douchey to say but it’s hard to believe that was nug porn back in the day haha

No.7 looks like it’d pack heat if it was trimmed though - without it being trimmed it looks like a lot of the ‘smokable hemp’ farmers used to try to sell me.

Unfortunately some places (like AZ) have both a low plant count limit (6) and a low possession limit (1oz flower, 5g extracts). The only way to stay compliant is to smoke insane amounts of cannabis to keep your jars low, at least that is what I’m hearing from this…

Genetics, plant size/pot size, filling out your grow room optimal.

Flip to flower if 50%ish of your room is filled with branches/plants its a dance really, specially if you pheno hunting its going to be al over the place.

Biggest harvest from 1 plant for me would be around 100 grams from thick stem bushy one. (Small 2by2 cant go much bigger per plant)

Middel to small plants 20 to 40 ish grams per plant,

but its mostly your area + even canopy all round in whatever style,

and getting about 800-1000 ish umol/m2/s light at every spot on that canopy (research numbers im high and might be off😂) feed accordingly, good genetics and a bit off plant knowledge.

I believe the posession limit is for transport, wouldnt make sense to limit the locked up (not ozed out, ready for sale) jars of weed, it would be hard to yield less than an oz per plant lol

that wasnt ever nug porn Im young compared to those buds. By the 80s there was all kinds of dank and breeders across the country.

You’re not even sober.

We did 16lbs wet off a single tree in DWC once (took 2 1100w lights over it though). Veg em huge in DWC works well because they grow like weeds in veg but for big plants you need to make a lot of changes to make sure they’re not breaking bucket lids.

The bill was written specifically to say that 1oz flower, of which no more than 5g concentrates, is the limit no matter whether it’s possessed, processed, transported, gifted to someone, etc. Basically if a cop catches you anywhere with more than an oz you could be in trouble, depending on officer’s knowledge and discretion. It’s stupid, yeah, but that’s AZ. The bill was written by Harvest HOC, and they were kind enough to tease us with ability to grow our own but you can’t make any money legally. We also have many many private prisons and heavy handed lobbyists.

Then don’t let them in your house. “I don’t feel like talking about my day”. “Am I being detained?” “Am I under arrest?” “Smell isn’t admissible in court” “Do you have a warrant?” is a good place to start.

I had a cop tell me she could smell more than 72 plants in my house. I had a full out belly laugh at that one.

In my specific jurisdiction, police officers have been ordered not to arrest anyone for petty marijuana offenses, so I personally don’t care that I’m over the limit as they know it’s not worth the court’s time.

I bet they can smell potency also through the baggie @AgTonik
