I heard a rumor that there was a way to make ethanol crude into shatter? Does anyone know if this is possible?
Yes it is
Although cumbersum and patience us needed
Basicly extract cryo and fast picking up as little aa possible unwanteds
Evaporate solvent of under vacuum with a temp no higher than 35C
Purge in oven
If a thca content is higher than 75% approx and there has been no decarbing to thc in the proces or use of old biomass shater can be made

It is certainly possible to make shatter using ethanol.
How successful you’ll be taking “crude” and making shatter will depend on the crude.
Eg: if it’s decarbed crude, shatter is not an option.
If it’s well made, all that is required is 24-48hrs in a vac oven to remove the last of the solvent.

Has Anyone Tried Breaking Down The ethanol Crude (after all the ethanol was removed) and running through a butane system to make shatter?

What s the use
With time and patience etho crude can shatter/ more pull and snap
The extracted etho oil already has pulled the goods the butane won t change that
Unless you wan t to crc this etho extract

I yes many have done this including myself it helps not extremely much but it helps
Losses are there thou so choose wisely

Went in as a dark almost black extract
Room temp ethanol extracted and recovered at bp of etho
So satisfied yes losses 50%
This is already decarbed by the way but
It s possible
B80 won t get the trick done there needs to be some silica60 thou
