Trying to save costs

So has anyone looked into a jacketed condescending coil? I’ve been trying to find ways to cut costs on dry ice but not many ways you can with coils. I’m dropping like 900 a week and that’s a rough 2k in ice

Updated:Equipment
2 6x36 fully jacketed material columns- chiller
2 12x12 fully jacketed recovery columns reduced to a 6” hemisphere (using spray off)jacketed- heater
100lb jacketed with coil inside tank
5/30 heater
50/30 chiller
Nitro push-1/4” ran
Crc 3”x24”
3/8” butane or material lines ran

Note system was readjusted so not same as pic for how it is exactly now

Reason I’m making this post is due to trying to cut a lot of cost in dry ice.

Also what’s the advantage of adding a 2nd recovery pump and how would that need to be placed?

Buy a chiller

Thank @Intergalactic for the source on this one

I have a 50/30 already but I’m talking about the recovery coil

Updated post

This is exactly what I found earlier but was very hesitant on if it would work right or if I should add two and have one for the infill

Ones on the bffe I have for a preheater coil, works pretty well

Look into membranes for solvent recovery, 90% less energy and no heat needed except for the final recovery

Itll pay for itself in 6 months if you spend that much a week in dry ice

Guess I’ll have to order one tomorrow and test it out on recovery. This would change the game even more at the end of the day even if I had to add a 2nd one. Just alone removing the cost of dry ice would change the game alot

I will right now

Here’s me winterizing warm ethanol extract with membranes

A smaller size membrane would seperate the solvent from the terpenes and cannabinoids

You’ll be able to recover down to 2:1 the remaining would need to be evaporated

Not sure how much butane you run per column

I run the full tank between both 6x36” around 80lb, filling collection to about 80%.

The smallest skid I have right now does 60 gph which if I had to guess would be around 300 pounds an hour of pure butane

Just out of pure curiosity how much do those run

60k for the 60 gph that can be doubled to 120 gph with double the housings

(This isnt for a c1d1 version id have to check how much for the c1d1 motor upgrade)

wold that be an explosion proof 50/30?

if not, please move in from your extraction area… before it decides to kill you one evening.

Is the chiller the only concern or shouldn’t all the ancillary be separated
Edit: that cmep-ol is the exception

absolutely.

…the heater and vacuum pump are also potentially homicidal.
