Love to know more. <3 Going to Philly next week to talk about standards across the globe.

Working hard to get all plants treated equal and to stop people from demonizing the plant and the people that love it.

Bill have already happened in many places. And in many places have already been stopped or kicked to next year.

The real question is what is happening at the Federal level IMO. Because that will change all of the states at once.

DeSantis is so polarizing I’m not sure his action in Florida will help tip the scales in any of the other states pursuing similar actions unfortunately.

Prohibitionists always trying to take away access. And all those capitalist pigs out there trying to drive away the competition - its a sad time for the plant and our industry for sure.

Polarizing by definition in this case means he has lots of supporters. Wouldn’t be surprised if this turns some Republican heads. Say what you want but the GOP is largely responsible for the hemp industry as it stands, whether they intended it or not. This gives me some hope that they did intend it, which I know is shocking. Despite liking a lot of Desantis end results vs the opposite extreme I am also aware he will take money from anyone and he is a pretty large shill so maybe I’m too optimistic.

They are pretty fucking pissed about this “whether they intended it or not” stuff. McConnell has been really specific about this for years now, you know?

I was just in DC talking to people on both sides of the align. Republicans in general were furious. Same as they were last year. Uninterested in talking about anything other than pulling the rug out from under the industry (which we are seeing play out in the House).

States around the country have already put bills in place - Florida was not the first, they were just the loudest. There are many other states in the country where bills were put forth and had no legs with the governor so they had to be changed. Happened here in Michigan in 2021, you know?

But our industry seems to have a short memory when it is convenient.

I’m still working to make sure people have access to the plant wherever they are and at the most convenient price point. Regardless of traditional, licensed, or hemp markets.

I’m sad to say that this past week has not made me hopeful for so many products out there. The media is sensationalizing ER visits and the prohibitionist drum is beating loudly.

We may have shit the bed moving so quickly. We can only hope there is enough money in it to get the conversation shifting away from how harmful and dangerous these substances are. But honestly - I’m not seeing this “$78 billion dollar” hemp industry rallying together to show how safe things are and how accepting of self-regulation they will be.

A lot of infighting happening still, which makes me sad. There is so much opportunity to improve the quality of life of so many in the industry, you know?

We process about 50k lbs of cbd biomass a month and most of our crude goes to conversions by other labs. Frankly im worried this will be the end. Here in Virginia theyve passed bill after bill crushing us…money trail always goes back to med mso’s even though they all buy our oil/isolate because we have cGMP and Iso certs. So…if even if we provide clean product it really doesnt seem to matter.
Scary times even for those not mfg conversions.
