Normally trying to run the compound without a terpene stripping first the cold finger gets swamped, the pump gets swamped, and it is a mess. This short IG vid shows now what a first pass looks like after an LLE. Contrast that to this photo of a terpene run on about the same amount of crude;
…and it wasn’t complete. Left in the flask is the THC but still significant terpenes comparatively.

I simply will not do a terpene pass in my horizontal rig again unless a solvent free lab is being run. For me this is significant.
