Yes while this is true. He also fired most of the customs agents it seemed and it seemed like there were times where no customs charges were charged. It’s when a lot of the “ghost” freight shipments started happening which would ship containers to Canada then bypass customs all together. NAFTA really made this possible. But the Chinese figured out shipping immediately and it’s still not fixed. My customs bills are the lowest they have ever been.
The week that tariff went into effect i recieved shipmemt of a new touch science 20l rotovap and had to pay an additional $2500 even though i had purchased it 2 weeks prior.
