Tri-clamp always ftw
Just getting our local glass blower to make the adjustments. Next one will be changed by supplier. Just hilarious that all 4-5 companies use this design that doesn’t work. How have they not had massive amounts of negative feedback?

If it’s just the elbow should be fairly easy for a glass blower to just change the angle to slightly less than 90 degrees.
But I agree it’s a poor design.
If it were me I think I would just change everything below the condenser. Probably go to an in-line condenser collection flask setup. Hell, except for the ball joint at the reactor could just get off the shelf and keep moving. Putting a ball joint on the elbow would take all of 5 minutes with a file, torch, and a glass rod. Even quicker with a cutting wheel.
