I was thinking about the panda motor a little. I don’t know much about AC motors. I have mostly only worked with DC. This is a good overview.

Good read!

ive been thinking of throwing an air motor into one… dare I say electronic free C1D1 panda? already specing some out. plus then we could remove that lame lever switch mechanism and have fine grain control of rotational speed via a pressure reg
Already redesigned the Top and bottom of the panda to be more robust, just gotta print em.

or it could just be a test bed for development, the industry needs a cheap and safe small scale centrifuge.

I love it. As soon as I have a min I’ll send you some filters for it I have basically sworn off pandas because at this point I’m only using them for methanol winterization Dewan and it’s kinda scary and I feel like I need to just not be living this ghetto tek lifestyle as much as I want to try…

how are you recovering solvent from biomass?

i feel yeah man, the new facility im building out is going to be running large jacketed fuges for extraction, but intill that is fully online i still rock the modded pandas, one must respect and understand the risks they take when on the panda tek, but yeah ideally there needs to be something safer and more sanitary at an affordable price point.

not my experience.
Panda is now on for eight min every time you plug it in…

which is insufficient for running it as a filter unit.

Edit: timer circuit deleted

Will document if my phone shows up in time.

Anyone come up with a nice way to product all the electrical components under the motor? I took the bottom off an noticed crude all over the wires, most likely from solution that was hanging out on the table panda is on. That means ethanol has been splashing directly on wires…
