So I think I’m up to about 8 brine washes on this material. And it’s still pulling colour - I attribute a lot of this because I’m not putting it through any media (silica, b80, etc…) but honestly I never see the colour not change.
I actually perform my brine washed for about an hour @40c, mixing 1lb/gal and then adding in the soda until it’s saturated.
But even when I get sick of doing wash after wash and I start to ph, my ph water eventually turns pink…
So really my question is how many washes is too many washes (I actually know the answer is until it doesn’t change colour)? Can I get away with 15mins/ wash, the hour I’m doing is overkill I’m positive. But this is wash 8… after sitting for 40 mins
