Thca decarbing, instant brown/amber color

Normally when i decarb my isolate will melt after 15minutes, start to bubble and stay light yellow. It will bubble in 40-60 minutes at 110*C before turning light brown/Amber dark, before finally becoming dark.

Today my batch is melting a bit faster and instantly turn dark/amber. I wonder why it turns color so quickly? Can i be a batch thing? Its melting good and bubbling as well, just wonder about how quickly it become darker than usually.

I only worked with 2 different batches prior.

it is probably just slightly lower concentration isolate. 99% vs 96%+ a powder can look white but still have color on melt. If it is a natural isolate I don’t think there is any real issue with it

Thank you! Appreciate your input here.

You’re night be right. The powder was also a bit more clumby consistency than usually, containing a bit of moist, idk but could be an expression for slightly more impure.

Edit: Hmm getting into the process here, this material bubbled decent in the beginning, but almost nothing compared to usually. The lack of bubbles concerns me a bit tbh..

Have you tried dropping some in a little ethanol and heating it to see if the color changes? You might have some shady components on your hands, or it might just be some lipids/waxes that are altering the typically observed behavior of your isolate

If it is because some ingredients already oxidated, ethanole can it not set back. It can dilute and dissolve some substances.

That’s why I suggested the ethanol, he may have some high tech soup. The market is sheisty these days

Ive sent it for HPLC testing in Slovenia.

Came back as 99.2% CBD
