When you mention Sunflower Lecithin does it matter whether it’s powder or liquid

Liquid only i even go as far to only put the liquid in as some batches have solid parts like coconut oil does sometimes

What brand of liquid curcumin with piperine did you use do you know? Also at what ratio? Im having trouble getting my curcumin powder to dissolve.

I have been using nanoemulsified d8 for my lean/syrup, and it works amazingly well albeit bitter as hell. Onset has been as low as 20min. That being said, it is relatively expensive, and microfluidizers are outrageously priced. I saved the SOP that C-BASS13 posted, but my question is: is there any settling? When nano emulsified, I have yet to experience any settling from my bottles sitting on the shelf for a good while.

Yes there’s settling when u use that recipe. I did notice you can just stir that bitch right back to life though. Not awesome for packaged consumer goods but good enough for free bottles for the fam :call_me_hand:

Alcohol tincture —-> non carbonated drinkable product. I make lemonades. Half a shot or shot glass worth. 2Liters makes 8 8oz drinks 100mg a pop is roughly 1g per 8 drinks. Not too shabby.

If anyone is interested, I have a full sop for making nano emulsified thc syrup. It took me a long time of r&d to perfect the recipe. All ingredients are safe and easy to find. The thc wont seperate and its shelf life is well over 6 months. Message me for more info!

Is the HLB value similar to soy lecithin?

So I’ve tried a different recipe, as I’m making a big batch and doing it with shatter and tincture. I’ve started out trying to get the syrup right before adding tincture. I’m need to make 1700ml of syrup. I I used same parts water to sugar and 7tbls of sunflower lecithin and 3 teaspoons of citric but no matter how long I blend 15mins to be precise the sunflower lecithin just sits on top. What could be the issue. My syrup is a very pale blonde colour with a layer of sunflower lecithin and foam on top.

I am not sure what you are asking me. If you aren’t following my exact recipe then I cannot help you. As I stated earlier, I am not a chemist. I did my research and the exact recipe that I posted is what I have found to work.

I would recommend not using a tincture as there is no reason for you to do so. If your oil is already decarbed, then it is ready to be mixed in with the sunflower lecithin. Hope this helps.

Guys it seems that it is much more difficult than originally anticipated to make the syrup. I want to make it thicker, I followed this recipe:

Ingredients

  • 12 fl. oz or 375ml (300g by weight) [raw organic sugar]
  • 12 fl. oz or 375ml filtered water
  • 23ml (1 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp.) vegetable glycerin
  • 13g cannabis trim (assumes 3% THC potency, for 10mg THC per 8 oz. of finished - see calculator below to modify potency)

Instructions

Decarboxylate Cannabis

  1. Preheat oven to 225F.
  2. Spread cannabis on an even layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Break into small nuggets or roughly chop.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, let cool.

Create simple syrup

  1. Boil water in a saucepot. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  2. Add decarboxylated cannabis to the pot and stir gently.
  3. Cover and reduce heat. Let simmer 30 minutes.
  4. Stir in vegetable glycerin. Reduce heat to low and cook 10 minutes.
  5. Turn off heat and let mixture cool.
  6. Strain mixture through a cheesecloth into a mixing bowl. Let sit for about 30 minutes to drain.
  7. Squeeze the solids in the cheesecloth to extract every last drop of syrup.
  8. Store syrup in a tightly sealed glass container in the refrigerator OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Lasts up to 3 months.

<— and it came out too thin, granted I wanted a larger yield and so I added more water than the recipe called for but I matched the sugar with it and everything else accordingly.

My question is, what is the ultimate recipe or instruction guide on making the ultimate actually syrupy and not water liquids infused syrup?

Also this is a major question, I will literally Venmo/E transfer someone cash if they can actually help me solve this. The goal is to create a syrup that is 1000mg of thc per 84ml bottle. Now it doesn’t have to be 1000 mg thc but the effect should be significantly similar or feel as such. You guys are smart, you guys know exactly what I mean. Have you tried using less water, or a thickener such as xanthan gum?
