Terps before extraction

A (likely) unsolvable problem with ethanol extraction (keep them terps!)

Just to be clear there are 2 methods being thrown around dilute with distilled water until terps start to separate then using a sep funnel captured the floating terps. Issue here is that water soluble terps won’t separate. My brilliant lab tech took Ethanol that was around 170 (could have been lower) and evaporated the ethanol low and slow in a roto then used an SPD to separate the watery terp mess left in the rotos boiling flask. Seems a WFE would also work. Persuasion is for sure key!! p.…

Solventless Terpene Extraction

Does the lower temp higher pressure increase turpene solvency but not pickup the thc? Also, there’s mention of the extra expansion chambers… If you were only doing the turpene pull without the thc pull, could you do it on just the single chilled chamber? Or would you still need multiple?

This should help enforce the above options.

I was gonna run an Ethanol sample by a lab to see what turps get stuck in there. Then see what method (nitrogen/co2) snags those ones out first.
