I 2nd what @SubstituteCreature just told you. Taking any advice from @WKUCONSULTING AKA @EagleChem is pretty much the same thing as taking a glass of Kool-Aid from Jim Jones at Jonestown.

There are consultants that know what they’re doing on here, but not that guy. Don’t follow any public SOPs whatsoever for that. People have ended up in the hospital recreating what they have no experience with.

I have dealt with the guy who made that video. I engaged him to consult and produce SOPs to synth CBD from Olivetol and Pmenthandianol and then cyclize to THC.
I can tell you one thing for certain, which is that Grim Leadingham is a charlatan. He is not a scammer, he stuck with me on the process for 8 months while we tried to get it to work effectively but in the end it became abundantly clear that he simply did not understand the chemistry and was regurgitating poorly researched snippets of information. It seems to me he is someone with a solid background in cannabis extractions who is purporting to be an elite chemist and offering advice on synthesis which he does not have the practical experience or knowledge to deliver.
His pitch to me was that the SOP would produce D9 THC in 90%+ purity and 90%+ efficiency w/w of reactants from a flow synthesis by reacting Olivetol and Pmenth in a homogeneous solution of heptane and a lewis acid. The process works but produces an absolute maximum of 40% purity and efficiency w/w of reactants.
This result is consistent with published papers on the state of the art. the only way to increase this yield that I know of is to mount the lewis acid on silica gel and precisely pump the reactants through a PBR which can yield 60% CBD/THC w/w of reactants.
In the end I cut ties with Grim and gave up and have considered the whole thing an expensive lesson in organic chemistry. The only saving grace is that CBD is very soon going to become a lot more accessible in my country and the lab setup Grim specified will be ideal for a cyclization operation so it wasnt a total loss.
Worth noting however, that the 40% product produced from Olivetol can be further purified to around 80% THC by post processing with a liquid to liquid extraction (the diadduct impurities are far more polar than THC) and then activated carbon and diatomaceous earth filtration to remove the trace quinones from the olivetol.
you will find your final yield of an 80% THC product to be about 20% w/w of your initial reactants. if you can get olivetol and pmenth cheap enough and you are in a market where THC is valuable enough and you have a lot of patience then it might be worth doing, it was done on a wide scale in the USA before CBD became as cheap as it is.
