Theese look epic
The 23% wasnt mine, and it wasnt usda compliant. I asked again of my friend who has probably seen more coas than anyone in my tri state area. Usda compliant material hits mid teens in cbd fairly regularly. The rub is, whatever variety hit those numbers, when planted at another farm down the road, that same variety will not produce the same results. Predicting results with a coa is not much better than a blind guess. That is the dirty little secret in this industry that no one wants to talk about, not seed companies and not government regulators, either.
And back to the thread topic of strains that dont run hot, if you want one that never, ever runs hot, good luckā¦I am pretty sure there are some set of environmental conditions in existence that will make almost any strain run hot, even strains advertised at 8%.
Excellent points.
In thinking about what you said, it occurred to me that I do cull a lot of plants at the seedling stage. I kill runts and anything that does not look uniform. Iām not thinking about hermies at that stage, but it is possible that any contained in the seed could have been culled before planting in the field, just by chance. If I was researching my seed, I guess I would grow out every single one to find the hermie rate, but producing quality plants is my foremost goal.
Werenāt you cloning not growing from seed? This damn thread has gone for so long I lost track.
We pulled 20 herms out of 100,000 or so plants in our fields. All of them were single branch herms, all located near ground level. Iām speculating that they were branches that got hit with a lawn mower, thoughts? Other than that, we seen very very few herms from seedling to completion.
1/4000 herms is considered a great ratio. 1/25000 would be 6 times better than that. Itās just hard to believe.
I did just a few hundred clones, mostly to test different soils, the rest from seed. Unimproved clay makes a thigh high plant and my best soil makes what look like christmas trees, both from the same set of clones.
I agree soil is a very overlooked component. Hemp isnāt to be treated like grandpaās baccer patch!!!
You still find a liitle bit of cbd and thc (various profiles) , but yeah these tend to be minor, often below 0.1%.
In Europe, most lab do generally not report moisture because the analysed sample is supposed to be dry enough (in practice 5-10%). I only rest for it if the received sample was fresh and the customer want it to be so. Otherwise I would just mention that the sample was received fresh, air dried for few days, and that the cannabinoid results correspond to dry mass.
Still no proof of this 23% Cbd plant. Where the COA? or stop bringing it up.
@Kenley Super important! Iāll post a snap shot from a drone of a field that floods fall through spring. Well at least the center. It was tiled beginning of 2019. You can see distinct circle of where the water line was. The drain leached nutrients. The outer circle did much better. However- biochar is wonderful and in my ignorant opinion, the best thing you can do to your soil as where the burn pile was from clearing the land, was the largest most robust girls on that farm. Iāll see if I can find the clip now.
@Estokha By way of stress? Where they just hanging on but broken? I might conclude the same thing. Interested to hear more feedback from the group.
Yes, by way of stress. There was noticeable scarring on some of the herm branches, i didnāt check them all at the time.
I contracted on a few farms here in oregon this year to cultivate. I had a crew running a walk behind brush hog and hand tools between rows and plants. With permission, I took a handful of the lower branches that got ripped off. Took them home and stuck them in my floating flower bed. Not one hermed. However, it still makes sense to me that the stress could trigger⦠Surely there are other factors at play. Strain etc.
The ones I put in dirt were āpurple abacus ā and āstormy Daniels ā
I just measured one that is 20.05% few hours ago. ![]()
Indoor of course. And 0.81% thc.
The rule is still the rule, so far.
A 247:1 ratio thatās nuts
I think you have a decimal point off.
Yes it looks like I do
