Right on, I really do think it’s important. I guess maybe you’re just one guy and a busy guy at that. However, I believe that the community looks to you as THE leader of our industry. The one who is supposed to bring us all together. You have a huge opportunity to catalyze some change. I’d like to see everyone who wants to participate in the industry be able to participate. Anything less is like leaving a comrade behind in war.
And I love u to @Dred_pirate yet another one my number one idols here
I wish I was able to stop the corporatization of this industry…
Cannabis was much better pre legalization.
The more legal it gets, the more people get squeezed out of the processing side, and the nastier those people seem to act on the internet.
That’s what got me hooked on homesteading and self sufficiency, the community in that world is growing opposed to shrinking like cannabis, and the Chads can’t just push out the average Joe with exclusive licenses and over regulation.
You know what they say about meeting your idols and being disappointed ![]()
Have them reach out to Calvin at bizzybee, let em know I sent them and to get gylon (spelling?) gaskets. I have had only one go bad and it was improper clamping, which is totally normal. They’ve lasted me months. Ptfe envelope gaskets, I can blow through one in a day
Totally non related but I think it’s hilarious that these landed next to each other.
I met @Dred_pirate and wasn’t disappointed either. Now I consider him a good friend.
I just thought it was funny that you said that after. I know it wasn’t related to his comments. I can’t help comedic relief from time to time.
I’ve had a great time with most of the people I’ve met. Definitely, had some people give me the stink eye for telling some stories of the partying in some cities but I’m just having fun!
I love @captrrippp like a brother. I talk to him just about daily. I think the lack of sleep and alcohol could and has messed with him at some of these meet ups but it’s not like he’s hurting anyone.
I think anyone that has met aaron knows he’s either on your side or on the opposite side and there really isn’t a middle ground.
I can understand how some people could’ve and were pissed off in Vegas and Miami but I’ve seen some much worse actions then some texts on a group thread.
I think words are cheap and some of these internet people should not be giving advice to other people. Hope everyone has a great day.
Well if you don’t want to step up and fight the power of the corporatization of cannabis then perhaps its time I find someone adequate to help lead that charge.
I agree wholeheartedly when you said
I think weed should stay illegal and go back to being medical only. Easy way to keep the big corporations out
i will also add… if you dont think @captrippp has picked up any growing and cloning secrets from @Cloner… then your fooling yourselves.
Hes probably more skilled in cloning at this point then most of the members here. we are talking about large scale shit…
Better for who?
I’m gonna disagree with you guys on this one, from a customer standpoint, legalization is better.
For people who have been in this industry, yeah, maybe the bm days were better.
I think it’s important to note this.
Edited a word cuz autocorrect sucks
Dude are u from California? I don’t think u are but if you lived through the prop 215 Era in California you would know that the weed was better then and you could grow 99 plants in some counties. You could have half a lb as a patient / consumer. Nobody was getting in trouble as a patient or consumer. Prices will adjust themselves. I’m sure cannabis would still be cheap
Here comes @Killa12345 ok maybe some of the weed is better nowadays
Yeah, I’m not from Cali, and you’re probably right. Here’s the thing though, the AVERAGE consumer doesn’t grow, doesn’t want to know the ‘plug’, and they don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for it, they just want to go to a store, pick something, and enjoy it.
The people on this forum and others like us are in the minority.
Legalization makes this possible.
Sure cali was able to have some weird grey area for a bit, but imo that was never possible long term.
ive been around big cannabis since the mid 90s… there are positives and negatives for both sides…
decriminization would have kept it a bit more profitable but when it was illegal everywhere… all people wanted was legal cannabis and not to go to jail for this plant.
There is a ton less money for the growers these days and trapping weed… But the quality of cannabis is at a whole different level… people never talked about mold and pesticides in the 90s… Has the taste of cannabis gotten stale… i think so… there was loud in the BM but the potencies are insane these days…
I feel like im tripping on weed most days… disty blunt to sleep then wake up to one is just overloading my system where i wake up high…get higher… to levels i never remembered before… the concentrates are insane these days… the potencies are insane…
we are at a better time in cannabis now… not going to jail… you can openly smoke soooo many places without getting the stink eye… its great… Its just not everyone has figured out to stay profitable… i hear it all the time
There were plenty of stores man
You’re focused on California, there’s 49 other states.
Artificial barriers to entry make being a shitty business owner easier imo.
Ya I just meant BM was better for the processing community. We had a common enemy to rally against, now it’s just dog eat dog.
Big boof has driven the prices down, increased supply, made access easier, etc for the average customer, and that’s probably good… I guess
The experience of legalization for us on the west coast has been significantly different than the rest of the country for sure. We went backwards here, everyone else made significant jumps forward
Isn’t that how things are supposed to be tho? That’s how innovations happen right? Free market and all?
Pretty much every other industry has to operate that way.
Legal cannabis isn’t a free market.
