Split processing - Heads and Tails?

Hi all,

Just curious as to what everyone else is doing out there… Currently we are processing biomass with a distillate split at the end. For anyone else that is still doing distillate splits, do you agree to process the heads/tails at the end that are then included in the split? Or do you keep the heads/tails? And if you do keep the heads/tails, do you alter your distillate split to reflect that?

I’ve currently been processing the heads/tails at the end but have been looking to change it up a bit.

That’s all part and partial to what’s agreed upon.

I give the option. Most don’t ask but I offer.

Heads split upon agreement. Tails is just “garbage”, maybe 5-10%. I do collect and run once I get 1l tails. Same with heads. I’m about to try a sep funnel to seperate the solvents/h20/Terps from the heads. Heads are denser, and sink to bottom.
