if you devolatize with your pump you may contaminate the oil again

This is not specific to this case, but in general!
Placing KF25 connector to the trap and run KF25 connectors between traps is waste of money and efforts and it doesn’t make any sense. So many people do things wrong and no one ever questions them why, they just copy (cowshpaers). KF25 PTFE adapter has 10mm hole inside. 13mm (half inch) barb connector has 10mm hole inside (walls are 1.5mm thick). Of course lets just sell bunch of overpriced PTFE KF25 to 24/40 adapters to 420 chemist community.

I agree but I was under the impression the PTFE or SS is better as it doesn’t let terps others volatile from leeching to a typical vacuum hose (rubber type).
I would rather just use a glass M-M adapter but you can pick up PTFE for $20-30 similar cost as the glass tube adapter.
