I like the wrangler FR jeans and Carhartt long sleeve tees personally. Carhartt bib overalls are solid too
I usually just get that stuff from boot barn or whatever workwear spot is close
Fire proof clothing you say. Let’s find some that we all like and have @label brand it up. Their embroidery is so clean.
found myself on fire a couple of times in those
my fault both times.
first recall of “on fire” was at 11 or 12 when some decided to light my hands. protocol in that sea scout troop was to soak your hands in methylated spirits (denatured alcohol) to toughen them up for rowing!!
the cigarette lighter from the cheap seats was the clown’s idea of a joke. took a couple of seconds for “smother them” to kick in. the two foot blue/yellow trailers as I swung them about was pretty amusing from an external perspective
if I’m honest, electrickery is probably a bigger problem for me…I seem to have started dissecting things “live” in my dotage.
When I worked in electrical distribution, had a customer ask for a “hot blanket” which is a big rubber mat so you can work hot. Terrifying
I thought I would like the Sheard shirts more than I do. They’re alright, but I have doubts about this material melting to my skin if it catches fire.
Bulwark made the FR clothing I used to wear in the gas/oil patch.
Ariat is what all the fancy gas guys wear now.
Thing is, being “laboratory grade” and Fire resistant is not exactly common, or easy to do. We’ve tried Bulwark’s FR lab coats and they suck and are thinner than the pope’s drawers.
These look nice, though. 9oz fabric.

I had a hella slick fire retardant blue lab coat during my brief time in grad school. 8 years later and I still regret not keeping it. nicest lab coat I’ve ever had
The sheard shirts would be a lot more comfortable if they changed the collars, they’re definitely on the thin side like some.of the Rasco shirts I’ve had as well
Yup, button down would be nice too instead of pullover.
Man I wish I had seen those Livewire thermals last winter. Blast room was getting cold.
worked in a foundry. all clothes had to be cotton.
they even sold cotton clothing cheaply.
Probably so it won’t melt I’m assuming. I think that was also military policy in the past.
Cuz I like to make hash, and go fast
Carthartt but they’re expensive. It’s never cheap to find flame retardant clothing.
