I usually make around 150 disty carts a month. I’ve been wanting to do the whole fuge terps off the wax and Decarb and add back for awhile now.
Been looking at a Wanlecy LD-3 but idk if I need one that can do 5x50gr runs.
What I’m really asking is … is it worth it to add to the Arsenal (mainly) for personals?

Definitely not worth it for small personal batches usually when I’m praising it the personal is making anywhere from ,100-5000 Csrts and ppl want live resin or extra tasty carts it helps preserve terps
Or spinning the sugar and reX in pentane then add back bho terps
You might have trouble finding filter vials at that diameter.
You might be better off with a bigger fuge than the wanlecy.

Id prolly run 4-5 oz at a time just seems easier than sourcing HTE
I used my centrifuge all the time and I only ever ran a lb at a time at most.
The ld-3 or whatever it was suited me just fine.
I have been wanting to try a smaller centrifuge tek using rosin bags. You can swipe the smaller version of a LD-3 with tubes and bags for less than $200
I believe @Dred_pirate has a post where he uses rosin bags in the regular 50 ml fuge tubes (non fritted) and gets killer separation.
I picked up a smaller version of the cheap china fuge everyone uses that with 15 ml tubes and the bags. I realize only about a G would fit in each tube but haven’t had any material to try it out with yet.

Are you saying that I wouldn’t be able to just fuge Decarb thca and reintroduce? I thought it was just those steps but if not lmk so I can look more into it for sure
I don’t make too too many carts maybe 200 at a time /month (maybe lowballing I don’t keep full track). But I’m just not a huge disti fan as.
Also seems easier to fuge it off than to continuously find HTE

Nah, that’s all I did and made some decent carts.
I’d run my own extracts that were an applesauce like consistency and lightly crc’d.
Look up my post history, I posted some pics of my stuff after being spun off and then carted up again after being mixed back together.

If it already crcing stuff it’s not gonna make much a difference other than frog hair tastier… I noticed crc leaves the heaviest terps in the extract. I’ve fully decarb it before w the terps in it and still got citrus flavored carts. They were really good in fact. The bigger the amount the more I’ll get out of a centrifuge imo
O cool. I don’t plan on running less than an oz of each type of wax at a time as long as they will stay stable
I like to do them all at once. Cool. So just go for runnier extracts not something thicker? I don’t produce anymore personally.
You think I can Decarb inside a beaker inside a small mason jar in the oven to preserve terps themselfes?
No u need to seal the dry ice extracted oil inside a jar for week or 2 to get sugar thca on bottom and terps on top
Some ppl would think decarbing would blow the jar releasing co2…k.but the count butane we turn into a gas inside them.on a super small scale I don’t think it would matter

I could stay busy enough to justify it I just want my shit to be different than some random disty cart
If you think crashing the wax instead of spinning it would be more cost effective kr better I’ll do that. I just don’t have a vac . Thanks for the spoons man
