All I know is I want to dismantle the government from within the government. But no on so many terms equity doesn’t equal equality, it’s different.

Brining back Aspergers as a diagnosis in the US would help too. I was originally diagnosed as Aspergers in the 90’s as a child and then as an adult it was mild autism.
They needed to do it for research and insurance purposes. I miss the Aspergers diagnosis cause it separated the low functioning from the high functioning now it’s level 1, 2 and 3 for severity.
Supposedly I’m level 2 autism.
I did the diagnosis high though. I’m planning on getting another diagnosis this year or next year sober. I was also a drug addict throughout my teens so I don’t doubt I lost some of my intelligence.

I too am a libertarian, not so much of a socialist, more of a conservative that believes in social safety net of some sort. I too believe in small government although I have a sneaking suspicion, that it’s in a very different way than you do. You are right equity does not equal equality because equity by its very nature is discriminatory, oppressive and evil. I was under the impression that you are a successful member of society, why do you need any more help? Or perhaps I should say it in a different way… Why do you think your neighbors need to be taxed more money to pay for anything you do? I think part of the problem is people misunderstand the meaning of the guarantee “the pursuit of happiness”, no one ever guarantees you happiness! It’s the access to the “pursuit” that is guaranteed. Not everyone has 160 IQ and so “smarter” people are more likely to succeed, does that mean we put artificial “speed bumps” in their way so as to give someone of “lesser intelligence” an “equitable” chance to compete against them? How about basketball players, not everyone is 6’8 and is able to shoot under pressure 80% from outside the three-point line, does that mean we let midgets in the game, that play by rules that give them an “equitable” chance to win against those players? We can go on and on with different examples but where does it stop?
I guess with mental illness running rampant in society, one can’t help but to query: Why isn’t mental illness grouped in with equity? It’s because people don’t want to group in different skin colors (what I call races) with the mentally ill.
Equity is good for some things: like giving the previously incarcerated felons aceess to a chance to run businesses or giving someone of a certain skin color a loan because of the skin color. I get the point and I get more of giving those who are disenfranchised a chance but I was just trying to make a point that we can group in all these ridiculous things together and make it one thing for an access point into a business opportunity why not include mental illness or even those with bad credit a chance at a business opportunity ?

The real issue is that the playing field is uneven and the game is rigged. We have yet to experience true capitalism where an actual free market dictates supply and demand. Government makes a mockery of capitalism through subsidies and incentives to buy shit that would otherwise be unsustainable or unprofitable because of lack of demand. Like Tesla, vaccines and cannabis licenses.

How about instead of trying to elevate certain groups while oppressing other groups we just treat everyone equal and if someone is less capable of reaching a certain goal it’s not “society’s at large” responsibility to take money of each one of our pockets to elevate someone who’s “naturally a loser” into a position they did not “naturally earn / deserve”. Putting someone in a position they did not “earn / deserve” only sets them up for a failure and thus is a waste of public resources which means they are taking money out of our pocket that could be more effectively put to a better use to the betterment of “society at large”. As I’ve already asked you, you are a successful member of society why should any one of us reach into our own pocket and give you anything?

If you are one of nature’s “fittest” species its up to you to decide where to put your money or energy into assisting those less fortunate than yourself.
But it shouldnt be an obligation.
Likewise there shouldn’t be aritificially implemented barriers to success or failsafes like incentives that create undeserving oligarchs who otherwise would have failed bc their industry is unsustainable.
I don’t know if this is too far off from the original topic but in regard to wages in my experience whatever a person gets paid they will spend that year. So someone makes 30k a year its obviously all gone end of year but the interesting thing is if that someone is paid 120k a year they spend the entire 120k too. I’ve never paid over 120 to an employee so I can’t comment if it continues to happen at 150, 200 etc but I would guess it does. So great opportunity does not just mean a persons problems are solved I would even argue it is worse for them now because they have this vicious spending / living issue. I spent around 10 years as an employer trying to bring the unfortunate to the top but man the psychology is one of the most interesting things I did not anticipate having to think about / deal with

So if I understand you correctly you propose that people that chose to to break the law would get preferential treatment in a cannabis business so I’m guessing when they legalize MDMA you would be lobbying for the government to return everything they confiscated from me, to expunge my record, to compensate me for my years in federal prison and to put me at the very front of the line for producing and selling legal MDMA all because I broke the law as it was at the time?
I’m right there with you bro how about we also compensate the Chinese and Irish for building the Transcontinental railroad? How about the Japanese for the internment camps in World war II? How about some of the ship loads of Jews that were escaping Nazi Germany only to be turned away and sent back? How about we settle old disputes between the native American Indian tribes? How about we give all alcohol manufacturing companies to people whose families used to manufacture and run moonshine during the prohibition? How about we start giving basketball players of lesser ability a “predetermined handicap score”… Like if there is a saying 5 ft 2 player then if he hits the rim from anywhere near the key he gets one point if he hits the rim from the three-point line he gets five points if he sinks a bucket from anywhere near the key he gets four points if he thinks a bucket from beyond the 3-point line he gets eight points, the first 3 fouls he commits don’t count and he only gets ejected after 10 fouls but if someone taller than 6 ft 5 fouls him that’s automatic three fouls. How about we don’t permit any Mexicans of Aztec heritage into the country because of what they did to the Mayans or how about completely bar any Spaniards and Portuguese from entering US territory because of the conquistadors? How about demanding reparations from the Zulus and the Tutsis for hunting down Africans and selling them for slavery all over the world? Or the Arab slave merchants that did exactly the same?
Or maybe just maybe how about we don’t discriminate against anyone and give everyone equal chance to succeed?
My father is a holocaust survivor and most my family was murdered by the Nazis. I do not hold any German living today that was not part of the Nazi military or police. responsible for anything that happened to my family and for the consequences that the surviving family had to suffer because of that.
I believe that an individual is highly unlikely to succeed if they are seeking to be a victim and blame someone for their “misfortunes”. There are immigrants coming to the country with just a small bag of clothes and a couple of dollars in their pocket and within 10 years they own their own business their own home they have a car and they are a productive member of society. And those people are successful because they come in with the attitude that no one owes them anything and they are going to work their ass off to achieve the most beautiful thing… The American dream of making an honest decent living that is able to support a family.
I so very much hope people start focusing on personal responsibility and leave the oppression Olympics behind them.
But don’t get me wrong if you somehow managed to convince the feds to give me everything back and to compensate me for my losses I will not reject it 
But you have to admit at a certain point it just feels like trying to fill your pockets with silverware before jumping into the life draft away from the Titanic
