Had my little 2L Water Pump Rotavap react poorly to a leak at the feed port on the condenser and shoot water from the rotavap into the flask of clean etoh and the flask of oil.
Thoughts on re-separating them-
-80C freeze and filter?
-Rotavap it?

Most run glycol in their rotovap condenser…
If it’s just water, then yes, you can use your rotovap. For the ethanol & the oil.
And get a proofing gauge so you know you’ve solved it.

I still do the super saline (4lbs of salt:3lbs of dry ice) and dry ice thing… but I’m working on finding a cheap portable a.c. and making a glycol chiller
Yeah the 2L AI pairs with this WaterVac07 system, it actually works quite nice for what it does.

got it.
that gets you vac…it doesn’t get you cold, so presumably you are running a chiller and glycol in your condensing coils. AND, that’s not where the “water” came from…
Much easier to understand water into your oil via the vacuum pump (water aspirator).
again, yes, you can use your rotovap to remove the ethanol from your water and the water from your oil.
