second pass distillation bypass

We’re running 5l full bore single cow set up from USA lab with an Edwards e2m28 pump. My gauge isn’t super accurate (in hg) but I’m well below -29inHG close to -29.5

Ok that guage goes off your system today. Wrong guage by a long shot.
You need something that reads microns

Thats the first thong to go, it is not telling jow deep of a vac in microns and that is what tou need. What size is your smallest fitting?

Good enough works, ideally I’d like to produce a cleaner and clearer end product. We haven’t sent out for testing yet, but are expecting 70-75% cbd would like to see it up above 85%

To add if your only pulling -29 im blown away you even distilled. What temps did you distill at

Yeah the gauge is something we’ve been talking about replacing for a bit now. All of our connections are kf25 except the gauge adapter in 1/4”npt

Get a yellow jacket or a agilent or bullseye. Can also get fancy depending on $ limit

We started getting cbd around 150c in the head we think. Been trying to run some of the CBd into the second fraction

Ok. Not bad. That guage is trash (way inaccurate. Dont use anything over using that)

We are super small time farmers on a hella budget, we’re all about ha in quality, but also need costs to be low wherever possible

Get the yellow jacket 69075. it uses the agilent sensor and can be replaced with the cheaper agilent one

I’ll look around for one, was hoping to avoid spending 400 on a gauge but if it’s necessity then it is what it is. I really appreciate all this help

Are there any non digital gauges that are accurate enough that you’d recommend?

Cps makes a pretty nice gauge for around 125 or so, or check ebay ive gotten a few nice stinger digital gauges for cheap.

Thank you for the help, this forum is a life saver

I got my yellow jacket used for $140 on ebay

A anoluge guage that reads microns tends to be for calibration of guages. And would be way more expensive. And wouldnt work with a spd

140 seems quite a bit closer to my price range than 400, thanks!

You guys just looked at the gauge? How about the thermocouplers? That napkin one is bad ass!
And none for the mantle temp?
