I am curious what is special about this? Is it just a mechanical cold trap?
Looks neat, seems to be a simple air/water exchanger design similar to a radiator. I could be way off but that’s what I am seeing.

I think the sight glass looks like a side view of the cold trap baffle, I bet terps collect on the sight glass window(w/ light ) into a collection flask. Looks like it has a knob/valve for the collection flask, I imagine so you can swap flask without breaking vac. It also looks like it has a warming feature which I would guess is to speed up collection/draining maybe? Also temp control.
Looks like a nifty purpose built cold trap.
I imagine this would be staged between an actual cold trap and vac oven or maybe terp distillation setup.

Yes this cold trap is from 710 stainless not sure if they’re around anymore
