That’s incredible pay for intro sales, it’s probably a structure to hit goals. Do they drive a company vehicle or their own?

That is true my first job with a four year degree out of school was 38k plus bonus. Then I realized I had made more bartending that my stressful ass job lol.

Tomato man hope you find a good candidate Tw a good gig for what age and experience your looking for.

Good question. New hire will need to provide their own vehicle.

Assuming you’ll at least reimburse the standard 56 cents per mileage when they use their own vehicle?

Certainly.

Why do you require a hs diploma? Don’t see the connection for sales. You are either good at sales or you are not. Same with school.

Rest assured that we will do what needs to be done to hire the best fit for this role and the resources allotted to it. We are good people.

Do you know anyone that is a good fit for this position?

@shattertramp That is a fair question.

My answer: The hire for this position will need to have a certain amount of life experience to be successful.

Interesting. I dropped out before even getting to 10th grade. Have a couple employees, one full and one part time both with college education and not much life experience.

I’d take a problem solver with a positive attitude over a diploma any day

@shattertramp Point taken.

do you have pictures of the products you are trying to sell. what kind of processing are you performing. do you need someone to drive to portland pitch your products

LinkedIn is going to be their best friend or worst enemy.

Also, there needs to be a commission piece as part of compensation.

That’s probably where the 20k difference can be.

Set them at 30-35 with an expectation to make 5-10 in commissions year 1. Anything over is worth promoting over time and making that extra 50% potential

The pay honestly doesn’t sound that great when he’s making all the sales for you. I used to take care of sales getting paid 2k a week. Seemed good but ended up looking like chump change when I was bringing the boss more than 200k in a single week…

Does this include commissions?

Do you provide mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance?

Brand new cars don’t typically have high commissions and I’m sure car salesman make very large sums for dealerships…

Unless you were in the used car area you aren’t making the “real commissions.” But buying cars and flipping yourself you make more with that right attitude.

People expecting six figures from entry level positions that only require a hs diploma need a reality check.

A sales job for a rec company isn’t an entry level job

It’s actually one of the most important jobs. It won’t matter how good your product is and how much you can produce if you don’t have anyone to purchase it. A HS diploma won’t help you in negotiations with sharks.
