running t41 through SPD?

I recently picked up some t41 bleaching clay. This is my first time trying this product, and I’m a little confused. I’ve been told I add it directly into my boiling flask, heat it at 100 degrees while stirring for half hour then start my run as normal. The add on summit research says:

" Canna Bleach is a blended T-41 media with a sitting pH of 2-3. Acid activated bleaching clay that when used 5-30% in your boiling flask will achieve Delta 8. In conjunction with Carbon Chemistry, Summit Research supplies only the best materials. 2kg net weight."

but on this foum I find people talking about the hybrid scrub:

accidentally posted before I finished.

the hybrid scrub:

Heat oil to 90c

Add absorbent (this method can be used for multiple types)

Mix for 20 to 30mins (you want lots of oil/clay contact but an appropriate amount of heat exposure)

Cool oil/clay to 40C (under solvent BP)

Carefully add carrier solvent like EtOH or Heptane.

Filter out absorbent with a Buchner funnel or pressure filter.

Carry on as normal.

can someone please explain the proper method and why???

What are you trying to achieve with your newly acquired magic dirt?

perhaps. but only if we don’t have to first guess your objective…

leaving it in your boiling flask has a different purpose than filtering it out.

are you scrubbing or trying to isomerize?

I’m interested in the results of each method tbh. I am trying to achieve lighter colour and delta 8, but knowledge is power so if your feeling ambitious enough to write it I will happily read it.

Search results for 'delta 8' - Future4200 is a good start.
