The concept on badges/patches was cooler achieved in person at meetups. I liked the concept of collection based on showing up.
Not saying I haven’t benefited from doing business here. I’ve bought entire lab setups cross country and in person thanks to ads here. Countless saved dollars from the used equipment market here. A solution seems needed in order to alleviate constant moderation / liability. Definitely have purchased and tried a handful of Hemp products I wouldn’t have otherwise as well. There’s two sides to this coin.
In most Black Market Forums the users threads get locked, the user gets banned and listed, and all alts associated. Ip banned. Like Black Hat World. They also establish ways for users to be considered trusted, like the Pirate bay with it’s green and pink skull and crossbones.

Vape sellers should have to pay

New equipment can be found on google and doesn’t need to be sold here.
Bizzy and Zach and others SUPPORT their equipment here and answer questions but don’t SELL and that is pretty cool

Just spit balling what reinitiating Vendor tags would look like. Set prices for people who want to slang like we do for hemp vendors, lets say $100/yr to make a sales post from a vendor. I agree that people/labs who are selling one time items should be able to post for free. There will be people who think this means these slangers are trustworthy and I want to do everything I can to make that NOT the case… OR go a step further and have a list of things a slanger must comply with to prove their trusty-ness . I don’t know what that would look like.
Maybe an intro video from a slanger saying ‘this is me (points camera at face), this is my business (points camera at warehouse/workbench), this is what we promise (or not) to do’, require a template to be filled out (similar to what we already have), and be open to an audit from one of our members to walk their facilities.
That sets a reasonable bar of entry but I can see a bunch people having issues in the future with verified slangers and thinking we are somehow liable because we marked them verified so there would be a big pinned disclaimer on the category. If we got this far I would be willing to go another step and give a tag for Premium Vendor for people who have been dealt with and we know they will ship a product and support it and be prepared to get burned because shit always(always) happens.
This should drastically cut down on the spam but I am forseeing a bunch of issues so I’ll try and come up with some more ideas. Maybe start the swag store and sell a $100 tshirt they have to wear during the intro?

This is a good idea would also work as marketing maybe not label them as “verified” but just start setting a new standard on this platform for the vendors and such.

An easier option would be to ban all new equipment sales
By allowing some stuff and banning others and deleting other posts and user accounts instead of just allowing everything anyone posts to stay on the site you dont really have a free speech argument
So anything you allow on your site you are de facto endorsing it and that has worked out horrible so far
You dont get paid from it and the shady equipment sellers are just besmirching your name
Charge the vape Asians and ban the rest of new equipment sales is my vote
You can find equipment on google far and wide
Doesn’t need to be here costing the community money and headaches
