Customer has a bunch of isolate coated botanical terpene infused pre rolls that missed spec and asked if we can process them into distillate for them. they are painted with Arabic gum then coated with isolate. i am wondering a couple things, will the gum stay behind in ether the carbon scrub or the distillation and will the botanical terpenes taint the distillate in any way?
you can separate the terps via distillation.
not sure about the arabic gum… I have been asked about extracting pre-rolls before too but never tried it, due to similar concerns. lemme know how it goes!
Arabic gum is soluble in water … LLE water wash your polished crude feedstock to remove it.
