Anyone use a refractometer during ethanol solvent removal procedure to measure progress, or do they even work with crude?
Thanks in advance

your going to have a bad time with crude imo; its best used to to check the proof of your recovered etoh; and even then id recommend a hydrometer over a refractometer
Right on.
Was just curious if I could take samples at different times during solvent recovery for process development.
its a good idea; but the crude makes the sight prism wayyy to dark and unreadable
