Water was tested and had no issue but that’s all it can be since they use no additives and grow organic.
Want to get them a bad ass filtration system mainly focused on removing heavy metals. Suggestions anyone ?
Only other thing I can think of is maybe contaminated soil.
This is the soil they use, any thoughts on it being possibly the soil? But it seems to be failing strain specifically where some strains fail a lot some strains never fail and some strains fail occasionally.
They only double checked 1 sample with gobi labs but they confirmed presence of cadmium.
Coco being the culprit seems pretty likely. It’s very good biosorbent for heavy metals. The Indian Ocean is fairly high in heavy metals and that’s where nearly all the coco comes from.
Some folks I know were losing their mind trying to figure out why they kept popping hot for chromium. Finally they tested the coco - lo and behold the culprit was found. One of the several reasons you want to source good coco if you choose to use it. Wash and soak it thoroughly before use as well.
You should be able to get water testing data for your area as well to see if it is causing or contributing too.
rock phosphates are “organic”, and can have varying levels of cadmium. There’s an extensive history of cadmium and rock phosphate with tobacco hyperaccumulation.
