We built SD to help make better lab supply available to extractors because we care about consumers and safe extracts. We go through the logistical juggling act and cost of decontamination on every cylinder before every refill to prevent “mystery” oil and keep you guys safe. Look closely at our coa’s you can see the composition of the gas.
In theory, lab tests on finished extracts should identify impurities that are unsafe right? Do you know of any standards for butane used in botanical extraction for consumption that we arent already showing on our coa? Can you get us a list of impurities to look for? Is there a different standard for topicals vs ingestion vs inhalation? If you know of any impurities in finished product that are introduced by the gas that would make the product unsafe, please let us know and we will have these added to our standard asap.

All suppliers offering the new triple refined gas should be able to intelligently speak to what contaminants the head chemist at the plant identified as the culprit causing fast crash. The head chemist at the plant making this new triple refined gas has noted that he is focusing on removing alcohol amines AND ketones. We have an entire write up that specifically states the specific compounds that are being removed from the gas. If you would like the write up please DM me, and I will get it to you. Furthermore, there is a very specific cleaning SOP you should be using to clean your machine prior to using the new gas, and it shouldn’t involve using ethanol, water, or pentane. If you would like our cleaning SOP please DM me. Our clients are seeing great results with the new gas line. I’d like to also point out that nbutane is the only gas that’s been perfected so far. So if you’re buying blends solicited as non medusa gas I’m not sure that is accurate, but maybe I’m wrong.
