Puzzeled?

Ok long story short
Flowers get washed with petroleum ether 40-60 C
I was in need of some n-pentane Wich was not available so decided to distill some petroleum ether 40-60 and take the n-pentane fraqtion
But Allas no pentane boiling out at atmospheric pressure and negligible elevation
Hmmm ok so decided to send a sample of the petroleum ether for testing and while I was at it
Send a sample of petroleum ether used after a few washes
Now what has me puzzeled is the complete change in components
What’s gooing on ? Anybody has similar results they want to share ?
Is a reaction occurring during the wash that changes the alkanes in petroleum ether
Arggg so many questions

First row is used for a few washes
Second row is fresh from the bin

Maybe this - but I don’t think it’s that hot.

Oefff that would be a trip
What I wonder most is IF there is realy a rxn happening and if so Wich compound on flower is creating it
Maybe hemp biomass made molecular sieves for the petrol industry is a thingy

What does the third column mean?

It could be a mole sieve as they are know to isomerize.

I’m thinking a more volition terpene?

apparently ‘confronto’ means ‘comparison’, though i can’t make sense of that given the numbers stated
