Job Purposes
The Production Manager will be responsible for safely and effectively converting cannabis materials into high quality, food safe medical cannabis concentrates, oils, and liquids for ingestion, inhalation, topical or other application by registered patients. Responsibilities include performing his/her duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry. Production Manager will assist in all concentrate production, extract processing, product formulation, filling and manufacturing procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with FDA GMPs, OSHA regulations, company SOPβs and all applicable laboratory procedures. The Production Manager will work closely with supervisor to ensure that dispensary demands are met with the highest quality of products with special attention to cleanliness and timeliness of production so as to meet state and company standards.
Day to Day Responsibilities
β Production: Executing manufacturing and supply of manufactured goods (Biotrack)
β Backstock; Managing backstock
β Schedule and daily execution of personnel to meet business goals
β Assist in Product Development

β Meeting Regulatory and Compliance Standards
Duties and responsibilities
β Understand and ability to execute all aspects of concentrate production department from product pre-prep, extraction, and post-processing
β Work with supervisor to meet department goals around efficiencies, yields, cost, and margin
β Work with supervisor to develop new and innovative products
β Ability to operate and control all equipment in a laboratory-type environment including distillation, CO2, hydrocarbon and other solvents
β Works with supervisor to develop and document SOP for extraction department
β Work with supervisor to develop concentrate production department work flow, and step by step process and procedure for training module
β Able to coordinate with cultivation team members regarding strain selection, harvesting procedures, and supply requirements to ensure an efficient movement of product from cultivation to processing and concentrate production areas
β Ensures consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing and procedures
β Ensure manufacturing occurs in clean-room environment, help to develop clean-room protocol for Manufacturing Department
β Creation of all batch production records and labels in accordance with the State and local standards
β Works with local, State-approved laboratory to send samples for regular testing of extracted product and document all results for compliance with State regulations
β Ensures the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the State and standards
β Maintain records of each batch and necessary information within Biotrack Software
β Following appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of dissimilar production components while following Good Manufacturing Practices
β Performing in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceeds company specifications and patientsβ expectations. Such quality assurance work shall include but not be limited to:
β Recording and monitoring process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures
β Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout company process
β Work with 3rd party laboratories on sampling and lot control for their sample gathering and reporting
β Maintain a clean and contamination free workspace including safe storage procedures for finished products
β Conducting preventive maintenance on concentrate production equipment
β Continually strive to improve company processes for improved patient safety, quality, and efficient manufacturing
β Must be able to work overtime, Weekends and Holidays if deemed necessary. Time off must be approved by supervisor.
β Must be able to do all other assigned duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications
β H.S. Diploma or equivalent (GED), however B.A. highly encouraged
β Organized and energetic, excellent problem solver, strong communication skills, and able to manage and train a team to perform required tasks
β Attention to detail, able to comply with state regulations including passing a criminal background check
β Ability to accept feedback and constructive criticism from supervisor
β Maintain a clean and contamination free workspace including safe storage procedures for finished products
β Maintain accountability as it relates to cleanroom, company SOPβs, Department of Health Regulations, etc.
β An in-depth understanding of the latest concentrate production techniques and procedures
β Able to work flexible hours, must be able to work with minimal or no supervision
β Excellent time management and the ability to multitask
β Honest, trustworthy and dependable
β Able to pass a criminal background check
β Maintain access to limited access areas
