Is anyone aware of any patents for VOC concentrators or similar equipment used for solvent recovery/flaring as it relates to our industry?
The Raw Garden lab situation + potential federal legalization and the future involvement of the EPA make for an interesting set of circumstances as far as emissions go
single use extraction on demand - always thought that was a thing to get to - some ideas but just that for now. go loxley uses heated argon - have some other interesting ideas
Have you seen the AGI/asahi counter current liquid to liquid column? Very similar idea with independently heated sections each with their own drain if needed. We had a video of it around here somewhere. I was trying to bring it to market but it never made it out of NDA land. Still used heavily in some labs.

looks like rotary VOC concentrators fit the bill for this
no additional oxygen or condensing required, pretty neat. Just uses a zeolite wheel to capture VOCs and then heats/combusts them with the discharge gas
I had an idea about how to reduce demand for disposables by adding additional value to the battery, hopefully in a way that might change consumer behavior. These could have minigames or DLC for a tamagotchi type game that add new content with each pod, which would hopefully make customers want to keep their batteries. You could also add NFC or something to make it so the profile can be exported, or items to be traded etc
the big issues I see here are the ‘appeal to children’ aspect, and restrictions against anything that promotes excess consumption

has anyone ever explored the idea of static mixing for formulating cart mixes?
You could feed distillate/decarbed THCa through the main orifice and use a metered pump of some sort to add terpenes/HTE, maybe feed into some type of inline homogenizer

I think you can accomplish something similar with the progressing cavity pumps, they might be good to use as a dynamic mixer feeding into the static style, should be able to mix pretty cold doing it that way. DDT and vape-jet are both using those kinda pumps in their dab dispensing machines right now
Can you add: what you think this will do? Just cold mixing? Adding solids?
mix large batches that are beyond the scale of a planetary centrifuge or normal benchtop equipment, thinking pretty far ahead. maybe some of the altnoid people are at that scale already
Id use an aodd and a barrel at that level.
