I haven’t found any news reports, but it looks like Precision Extraction Solutions is officially going out of business. They’ve stopped answering calls, their website is down, and all their inventory has been moved to another company called Detroit Depositing Solutions (DDS). If you need parts for your equipment, I’d recommend getting them while they’re still available.
About 3 years longer than I had on my bingo card
It was around 3 years ago that a Precision rep expressed to me that the Agrify purchase was moving towards an end for Precision, rather than a new beginning. It looks like Agrify got out of equipment sales a couple of months ago and became a soda company. Does this affect Cascade Sciences?
yes it will affect Cascade as well.
The parent company that purchased Precision (Agrify) has decided to “step away” from the production and manufacturing side of things apparently and they intend to pivot over to a “hemp based beverage product line”. This seems very suspicious to me. I’m not one for conspiracies but to purchase Precision, PurePressure, Cascade and Lab Society just so you can close doors and switch to producing a hemp THCA beverage is a huge shot to the already struggling legal states. I know DDS is going to be assisting with Precision side of things but I have no idea whats going to happen with PurePressure or Cascade. I guess I will find out more once our press goes down!
Anyone in CO offer maintenance services on any of the above?
Nobody has really bought their gear for a few years now
One of the owners tried to launch prodigy processing and it flopped
The beverage pivot was a stock manipulation move. That company will flop too. They just borrow restructure and default
What’s the opposite of the Midas touch. Like instead of gold you turn things to shit?
Yeah Agrify is not buying any more stock for Lab Society products until they figure out what to do with them, so I think it would be the same for Cascade Precision, and PurePressure too
Do people have strong positive feelings about PurePressure?
I was under the impression that they were generally considered just a radically overpriced, over-greentaxed rosin press with platens of odd sizes and final platen-pressures?
I mean you can always just got right to the actual producer of cascade ovens which is cascade tek which has no affiliation with the agrify bs.
I hear they are selling a few a year. I don’t think they stopped selling extractors.
Fugh my 22L LS spd’s are about to be even better paperweights😂
without LS restocking you break anything and youll have a hell of a time finding 1 for 1 replacements and will be forced to frankenstien which i did already so not the biggest of deals still annoying af.
Might just turn one into a fishtank cause why not
Good riddance I say! I am happy to see that sub-par equipment go the way of the dodo. Most of it is too small for production needs now-a-days. I saw the prodigy set-up at MJBIZ 2023, and it did not impress. I’d opt for just about any other mainstream company, who offer unique gimmicks to their rigs- unlike prodigy.
Cascade being the exception, making great equipment. I am not sure how they are affected by the sell off of Agrify. Gold standard for vac-ovens until you go large-scale custom like @Shrimp 's baller set-up.
Last I heard, Agrify was bought up by GTI. They had only one profitable line, the hemp beverage line “Señorita.” Maybe @extractionguy is right and its just stock manipulation,
I had that issue with my old summit research SPD a number of years ago. I didn’t want to give elliot more money, so I found a local scientific glass blower. He replaced all my joints with standard large-bore size and the rig preformed better than ever. I think he did it for $100+cost of glass per joint, which was a steal. A real pro who free-handed the mods. I bet you could hit up rocco glass and he can hook you up with your SPD glass needs.
Damn I have a large-scale custom baller set-up?
I was referring to your custom freeze dryer, which is sorta like a vac oven
Tbh Lowtemp plates is based out of Arvada and will replace parts same day (if they have them in stock, but i’ve never dealt with them having none on hand) - PurePressure is such a bad company I literally bought stock to say ‘AS A SHAREHOLDER…’ before I blast the shit out of them. Selling the air compressor needed to run one of those heaps would pretty much buy you a nice Lowtemp press that’ll be taken care of for years to come. Just the electronics on the PP presses alone make them a liability.
I think you’ve got me confused with another member, that beastly freeze drier wasn’t mine, but I appreciate that you thought of me
Yeah fosho i get custom glass made all the time, my go too is @goldleaf_scientific in the US and GPE scientific in the EU
That will be @thesk8nmidget…
That’s right! Sorry about the mix-up.
I recently picked up their HTE distillation set-up. Its very pretty glass with excellent workmanship. The first cold-finger I got came slightly damaged, but @goldleaf_scientific came through with a free replacement and covered shipping. 10/10 recommendation with good customer service.
