The van has a tow capacity of 10k and the truck has 12.5k

If the van had the same capacity it would be a no-brainer

Cummins is a great motor but dodge will always be shit and unfortunately you can’t fix that one . Both are equally worth fixing up it is just what you prefer and which would serve you better. The van would be cheaper to get going and less work. Do you often tow trailers over 5 tons ? The van is probably gonna be the most comfortable to tow with because of the wheel base

Yes I have a 12k trailer.

I just have so much stuff it would be cool to get rid of some of it.

The 6.0 truck has been running fine for the past 3 years or so. I’m hoping it’s something minor but who knows. It has about 180k and 4wd is a big bonus - this is my daily driver but normally I don’t drive daily

The van has not run since it’s been here and it’s been here for a few years. I don’t remember how many miles I will look I think it has a mechanical odometer. A 4x4 van would be cool I don’t even know what’s involved In that

This guy weighs 8k squeaky clean. This plus the trailer is 10k easy

I thought 6.0 was always “oh hell no” when coming to power strokes…

Hence the title

7.3 is rock solid I’d stick with that!

6.4 is the one no one wants. 6.0 just needs some extra stuff. Even a 5.9 cummins needs that killer dowel pin kit
