While true, I find that it does not effectively motivate me at all. The vast majority of waste produced is produced by companies, not individuals, and the onus to correct for and close the loop on our material consumptions is on those same companies. Think of all the single-use medical waste generated per day, try to put a mass to it. The annual waste production of the average american pales in comparison to unnecessary daily waste production of almost any industry.
We’ve moved past the tipping points numerous times for numerous metrics, as predicted as far back as the late 60’s.
Shits fucked fam, ships sailed and sunk a half generation back. I won’t guilt myself about my PTFE sheets.
Or just purchase in bulk.
Also the fiberglass PTFE sandwich stuff is pretty sweet, and is more reusable. Basically fiber reinforced silicone baking mats but PTFE coated instead of silicone
I mean, you are still generating entirely unnecessary pollution for nothing more than your own recreation. Just as CEOs of these companies pollute to cut corners and line their pockets for their next yacht, you are polluting for your next dab.
Cannabis doesn’t need to destroy the planet to be enjoyed. CLS extracta inherently generate less waste and are more efficient. Better for the planet per gram as well by far in many data points.
Furthermore if you scale out your mindset to the rest of the rosin made, suddenly there is a flood of ptfe garbage coming from rosin
You should bring this up at the next press conference
I’m curious to see what the hardware is like for this, the hashvac stuff has been neat
Looks like a pretty neat idea. Not too much info online about it From their website, it looks like they are innovating in the hash market with a bunch of new things- which is fun and needed. Hope its commercialized and successful.
I’m guessing a piston in a heated tube pushing through a sintered disc/some type of filter plate
I saw comments saying it’s a single press, no second/third represses, and that it only works at larger scales

The method described for the baked food simulant is probably applicable here as well
