There isn’t much of a chance IMO to get larfy buds to “appear” dense any other way that to grow dense buds. Vacuum sealing would just turn fluffy larfy buds into flat larfy buds

No, it was a genuine question. I’m learning most people judge the quality of cannabis strictly on it’s appearance, aroma and potency.
I’m still trying to grasp the parameters of the visual judgment of others but since you answered with “were you being sarcastic” I’ll assume yes…
Appearance of dense bud = bud of higher quality, in terms of visual judgment stemming from “hey look at this”.
Indoor controlled environment is the way to go if you are looking to control the plant. Outdoor is a crap shoot. Weather, fires, bugs you know. All have effects on the plant. Like wine that is better from some years. Anyways here is some of my outdoor.
I really don’t think dense buds being of higher quality coming from a “here look at this” origin. I would venture say if that were true the “here look at this” as a judgement would have fallen by the wayside long ago.
I would say the reason denser buds have become what the consumer is looking for has more to do with the denser buds meeting some of your “factors of judgement” such as aroma and potency.

Aroma and potency need to be experienced in presence/consumption of, the visual appearance does not.
I do understand what you’re getting at though (i think?)…not only is it visually appealing (bag appeal?), dense buds are an indication of quality genetics (apparently?).
I personally think the effect/aroma/potency is a better way to judge.
I was always under the impression that dense buds were favored because of the trap scales, you could profit more off dense bud than you do with fluffy bud… this plant is a “for-profit” plant for most people.
All i know is it can look like a damn fern but if I’m floating like a friggin feather, what else matters?
Potency and aroma are directly connected to trichomes, fluffier flowers produce more trichomes… if you’ve seen my posts I’m sure you’ve seen my tacos.

You are rubbing folks the wrong way in many threads and its getting old fast. Also, and more importantly, it is clogging up threads that many people read to expand their knowledge base. It’s fine to debate but when ya tell admired folks they “should be in jail” everyone loses respect for you. Give props, learn, debate(on topics you have studied) but don’t shit on peoples livelihoods. Many folks around here helped turn the idea of legalization into a reality.

My preference for density? I like it like some dense bread. I dont like rocks. Im a smoker of my own not a buyer. most current strains i run are dense as F and 2 oz fits in a jar when a jar used to hold an oz
