The beleaf white truffle is going for about a hundred bucks on strainly. I just bought it from a guy near st louis. Now I have to grow it out in quarantine to see if it shows any signs of hop latent viroid.

Testing is great as a concept, but I think it was emdub who said on here that the testing isn’t 100% accurate. It’s like a coronavirus test, you can have low levels of the viroid and still pass the test, then it can come back later.

You have to test 3-5 parts of the plant and submit as one sample

Maybe there will be dogs trained to smell it in the future.

It’s a pcr test like covid, it takes a certain amount of reaction time to do the test right. There are no false positives. False negatives could easily happen.

Tumi genomics in Colorado can do hlvd testing for $25 each.
They can also test ultra low levels of it as well, and they will tell you if that’s the case.

You’ve got herpes either way at that point. :man_shrugging:
