Aero is better than dwc
Any media is better than aero
Soil is better than media
Amended soil is better than bottle fed soil
No till amended soil is better than recycled amended soil

Aero works a lot better in anything but a round pipe, like a square vinyl post rail or a table.
I vegged in 8” pipe then went to a bucket.
Inside the pipe were 2x 1/2 hard like fed with sprayers for each plant position all around the holes so they didn’t get covered by roots. The plants would have a tendency to form one giant mat of roots on the bottom sometimes cause IG issues until I just started stuffing a net pot between each plant into the pipe. Worked really well. I couldn’t find big enough square pipe and I didn’t have a plastic welder to fabricate it.

I used to build tables from a basic white plastic table. The sides were synthetic decking board sealed with silicone. Lids were the hardest. I usually use fiberglass frp paneling sandwiched around Styrofoam. The design requires new silicone every few runs. A friend of mine now has a company that contracted with a kayak maker to build aero tables in one piece.
