to know whats what you need to know what led they use. all led come out of the factory somewhat variable and the chips are called bins. like some are just right and are top bin.= RARE. the best lights should tell you what you are getting.

Yeah was looking at that thw other day for my friend, heat will be the biggest problem probably. Its never above 65 at that place

im a flashlight nerd too so I know about leds. as far as growing with them it took years. I had a cob light but it didnt perform it made purple stems and dud plantlets I was doing it wrong.

the lights still produce heat and so will your Dehu. That’s what’s keeps my garden warm now.

Yeah it might equal out, all lights are ac and with opening up the room and making it bigger it might balance. Only one way to find out I guess.

led is wierd as far as heat. its not too hot but at some point it hits a thermal runaway and heats way up. in my circumstance a tent runs about 10 degrees over ambient with lot of airflow. Im lying- it runs way more. if the room is 70 the tent is 88 they are all on 8 inch inline fans and filters. on my hps tents they run equal to ambient but exhaust straight out no co2.

You’ll fucking love it. It’ll be completely sealed with air conditioning. That heat will build up for sure. It’s just about sizing it with the right air conditioner. Mine now is way to big for the job

i use hangers and try to not max out on height= i always fuck that up and tie down plants like crazy when they overgrow.

I need a better cam but will post some peytons- its nice cookieish buds. smelly like burnt tires too.

my china so called samsung led quantums rock the par meter. I think they are real samsung from KINGBRITE I overlap them and its a very even light across the tent. I have a gavita too and ill bet it works ok as well. Im annoyed i cant post pics dammit. my lawyer told me not to.

I was running the Kind K3 L600 for a couple or years and when I switched over to GC ROI e680’s in several bays I got about a 30% increase in yield. I never run them more than 80%. I believe it is the foot print of the Multi-Bar design that makes the difference.

I still use the L600’s as they are perfect for the way I have my veg area set up… The diode clusters on the L600’s are constantly burning out but can be replace simple enough.

I was using 2 L600’s per flower bay and they measure 12" X 22" each in a 4’ x 4’ bay and the coverage just wasn’t happening

I use one ROI e680’s in that same 4’ x 4’ bay and they measure 44" x 44" so it only goes to reason the coverage is better for the yield

Growers Choice ROI e680

My next switch out from the Kinds will be the GC ROI e720

I have had buds grow within a couple inches of my gavita 1730 without bleaching or burning. Grow store guy told me 18 inch minimum distance.

Is that a 1700e or 1930? Lol

i fried a payton under a hlg 600 / Its still healthy and not fried but the tippy tops are bleached.

I was able to run my canopy at 2000-2200 ppfd for the first time, running mammoth 850W 10 bars 16" from the canopy by keeping my VPD stable, and humidity in the mid to low 40’s with my temperatures at the brink of too hot(90f), and 2000+ ppm co2. No Bleaching. The plant needs more metabolism/growth rate for that amount of light, and it needs to be able to transpire quickly.

ive often run hps 1000 really close with ac hoods. No bleaching since prolly my first grow the 600 quantum is a bright led

I much prefer the bar style LED’s. I have a few HLG600’s and a grower’s choice 680.
Coverage is much better under the gc 680, plants don’t seem to mind growing 10” under them.

I have a new gavita and if its better than a quantum thats great. Its really fucking big though and i have to break down gardens and hide shit all the time. I think i want a folding bar style light.
