From the Omega 4546 manual “Input wiring is disconnected/ thermocouple problem Or short circuited” for the orAL alarm. IMO you either have a loose connection, shorted connection or (depending on the PID) a backwards polarity on your sensor

Wiring in that second probe demonstrates that it’s the sensor that’s gone bad.
All the RTDs I’ve seen to this point have been tiny little encapsulated doohickies.
I can probably get by by dropping a smaller RTD in there, but exploring the actual “elements” that omega sells might be more amusing…
